MCC Football Club is seeking a Head Trainer to join our women’s team for the upcoming 2019 Victorian Amateur Football Association season.
Based at the spectacular new Beaumaris Secondary College sporting facilities, the position requires attendance at games on Saturdays, occasional attendance at training (Tuesdays & Thursdays) and supporting junior trainers through consults and mentoring.
Duties for the trainer will include:
coordinating a register of injuries to players
coordinating management and treatment of player injuries including liaising with club health professionals
consultation, support and mentoring for junior trainers
oversight of trainer availability to ensure at least one trainer is present at all games and at least one training session each week.
Remuneration will be negotiated and a Level 1 Sports Trainer certification is required.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the club, which has a fantastic, supportive culture focusing on women’s football.
While the MCC has a long-standing football section in the form of Melbourne Football Club, the MCC Football Club was formed in 2018 to facilitate a women's team making its debut in the club's colours.
The MCC Football Club is based at the club's sports facilities at Beaumaris Secondary College. MCC currently fields one women’s team in the Victorian Amateur Football Association and is led by head coach Lachlan Worthy.
